Bio: 

Born in Amarillo, Texas and growing up in Waco, Osiris Munir, graduated from G.W. Carver High School at age 16. Her parents waited for her to turn seventeen before allowing her to join the US Navy. During Munir’s three years of service she gained the trust of fellow comrades from the surrounding areas of Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York, D.C., Baltimore and Norfolk, Virginia who found her a kindred spirit. They even coined Munir the nickname of KK for “Kool Kid”. Most were unestablished artist doing military time so they could earn money and travel. Upon her release from military life and after receiving an honorable discharge she found out that her parents and family had moved to Northern California to the City of Santa Rosa. There in Santa Rosa she served a short term as Jr. President for the Northern California Branch of the NAACP.This position was an eye opener and led Munir’s career in a different direction. She became a licensed group home director for a youth focused mental health initiative program at Oliver Group Home and worked for the Santa Rosa Neighborhood Youth Corp. After her contract ended, she applied as an Admissions and Records employee at Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park. Because Munir had children; during the day she worked full time at Sonoma, and in the evening, she attended night classes to complete her Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts, English and Foreign Languages. After exiting the Morris agency and Universal/MCA, Munir became an independent contractor securing her own clients and developing her talents as an entertainment personality. With hardly any money Munir sadly asked her parents to see after Upon returning to Los Angeles, without a job she started modeling for designers, Marrika Knakk, Malibu Sports and award-winning television and costume designer, Marlene Stewart. her children. Her boyfriend at that time Victor James Wimbish brother of famed guitarist producer Doung Wimbish of Living Colour paid for Munir to send her children back to Texas. They would stay there for a year and Munir would be evicted and had been evicted several times more before getting her children back to California again. In 2002, once again Munir took a huge risk by taking on a double media assignment as a talent /media rep for the Universoul Circus. There she came to understand how radio and television worked together as applied to the performing-arts.
