Cortez M Johnson

Cortez M Johnson grew up in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County. He went to Maria Regina Catholic Elementary school and Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance. After high school Cortez went on to earn his BS. Degree Health Science from Cal State Northridge and (MBA) Master’s in Business Administration.
Shortly after graduating from college (2002) Cortez decided to pursue a career in Real Estate. He obtained his Real Estate Agent license and was hired as a Realtor with BA Clark Realty in Los Angeles. Ironically, this was the beginning of the Real Estate boom. Cortez began to sale homes in the local Los Angeles market until the 2007/2008 of the Real Estate market crash.
During the Real Estate Market crash Cortez worked as a Housing Counselor (2008) for the largest nonprofit organization in America processing and submitting loan modifications for thousands of homeowners in Los Angeles. Working for this non-profit is where Cortez learned about real estate financing and mortgage loan servicing from a totally different perspective (inside out).  As a result he was able to help hundreds of home owners save their home. And also advise homeowners on how to make an informed decision based on facts, truth & logic….
In 2010 Cortez obtained his Real Estate Broker’s license and NMLS Loan Origination License. He continued his career in real estate as a Mortgage Banker and Mortgage Broker. Cortez currently helps homeowners with purchase loans and refinance loans. He prides himself on offering his clients the lowest interest rates and closing cost credits. Please visit his website @
