We talked detox with Ed Bell, nurse practitioner Holly L. Leo gave us the low-down on Botox, Juvederm and other anti-aging  procedures, and esthetician Marla St. Clair polished things up and discussed microdermabrasion and other nifty techniques. "The 30's (the age, not the decade)"

was the theme for this funny episode based on our youngest host's recent birthday.  Turning 30, health and beauty tips, fertility, and "plucking a man from the man tree" were all topics tossed around during this homage to the big 3-0.  All on BROAD TOPICS!

"Dogs, dogs, dogs...and Star Trek"

was the topic for this fun episode.  After having a great time at the "Nuts For Mutts" Dog Show, the ladies are discussed all things canine.  Dog laws, Dog stories, No-Kill Shelters, and the Pit Bull Controversy were all on the table. They also scored an interview with the gorgeous Zoe Saldana ("Uhura" from the Star Trek Movie) and the stunning veterinarian Dr. Tiffany Margolin making this a perfect show for dog lovers and trekkies alike!  

"Listener's Choice"

was the theme as the ladies covered topics that were sent in by the public.  Pet Peeves/Loves, Irrational Fears (fear of cereal?), Teenage Pregnancy, Daddy Bias, and Masculine vs. Feminine Music were all covered, as well as a discussion and many, many, phone calls about the upcoming "Nuts for Mutts" Dog Show coming up on May 17th. "Friends"

was the topic (no, not the TV show) as the ladies reminisced about their earliest friendships, what kind of friends they are, the kinds of friends everyone has when they are teenagers, and famous friend movies.  The host's best friends also called in to share fun and enlightening stories, making this an episode to remember!

This show centers around the children of military families and their unique challenges.  The hosts discussed the definition of "Military Brats", interesting ways to help them keep in touch with their parents, and teachers in Maine discussing the politics of war with 7-year olds.  Add in an interview with Mark Allen Reugg, creator of "The Party Animals" kid's show, about their experiences entertaining these special children at military bases, and it was an amazing episode!

"Extreme Fun"

The ladies got stupid with all the talk about those stupid folks. Dumb criminals, headlines, and lawsuits were all discussed, as well as Laura's plan to use Hannah Montana phrases to spice up her love life ("Sweet Niblets!).  All on Broad Topics!

Broad Topics had a GRAB BAG SHOW! Each host brought in their own topic and it made for a fantastic and funny evening. Jillian talked about how National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation made her worry about getting older, Joan uncovered common scams, Katie dug into scientific myths, Kelly came up with a hilarious game, and Laura talked about...of course...the toilet. All that and the awarding of the ANTM Fantasy League winners on Broad Topics!

The Election was the big topic for the night-everywhere except at Broad Topics! We had a warm and fuzzy show talking about "How to make the world a better place" with our guest host Emily Janice Card.  Charitable vacations, the little ways to help, and fundraising for a boob job were all discussed.  And when the election results came in we all celebrated-except for Joan, who went into a state of McCain Mourning.

The ladies got propositioned!  California propositioned, that is.  Think a show about the propositions is boring?  Not this one, which turned out to be one of our funniest shows as the ladies found lots of humor in the people behind the props.  Mix that with real information and you won't want to miss this episode!

The ladies delved into the fall season of movies and TV. Controversial movies, reality shows and why we hate ourselves for loving them, and some of the best new shows of the year were all discussed on Broad Topics!

Mental Illness was the topic and the ladies covered everything from depression, schizophrenia, and anorexia to Laura's pregnant brain and Joan's revenge on the littering BMV dealer by her house.  Movies that deal with mental health issues and more, all on Broad Topics!

"Working"

was the theme for this show as the ladies chatted about their worst jobs (including professional gambler and dancer in the Mexican Circus), equal pay in the workplace, and tips on how to manage office politics.  There was even a quiz taken that can tell you what your dream job is, and if you are a lesbian.  All on Broad Topics!

Our environmentally friendly show had the ladies seeing "green".  Tips on how to live green, drive green, and even wipe your butt green, plus an interview with George Wolfe, the man who is taking on the LA River, and a discussion on why the word "green" is overused.  All here on Broad Topics!

Broad Topics had a "Health and Fitness" special and nothing was off limits!  Crazy diets, gastric bypass, anorexia jealousy, and workout plans all were on the menu.  Top that off with an interview with personal trainer Mike Strickland and this show was a tasty treat!

Noted actor John Rubenstein calls us from backstage at “Wicked”, in which he plays the Wizard, for an interview.  That spurns the conversation “Which world is better, Oz, Hogwarts, or the United States?”.  MPAA ratings are chatted about, branching into the Sex vs. Violence debate. 

Are actors and politics a good match or a really bad idea?  This episode exploded with phone calls, including all of our moms calling after we made Joan’s Catholic mom talk about masturbation.  To top it all off, we touched on the important topic of noxious substances.
