GRAMMY WINNER | SINGER | SONGWRITER - Our guest this week is MATT ALBER. Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, Matt Alber, grew up singing in choirs. Matt learned how to make something beautiful with his friends on stages around the world. Like an athlete, he watched himself get better at something his body and mind were making together and eventually got his degree in music. He moved to California to join the classical men's ensemble "Chanticleer" with whom he recorded two Grammy® Award-winning albums. "Hide Nothing" is Matt's first album of original songs. The record was co-produced with a trusted visionary, Jeff Crerie at "Utmosis" in San Francisco. When he's not touring or recording, Matt also directs a choir of his own in Los Angeles called "Forever Young." The audition is fairly simple -- if you're 60 years or older, sing with heart, and can bring something to the potluck, you're in. Most of the members are gay or lesbian and lead incredible lives which prompted his current project which is a reality-based television show about his experiences.
DISCUSSION TOPICS: You can have a very successful career in music after choir. Characteristics you have to have to become a great singer and performer. Do you really need a music education background to be successful? Tune in now for more entertainment career advice.

VINTAGE VOCALIST | UKULELE MUSICIAN - This week our guest is JANET KLEIN. Bearing an ever-expanding repertoire of obscure, lovely and naughty songs from the 1910's, 20's and 30's," Janet Klein is a musical archeologist hiding in the body of an F. Scott Fitzgerald heroine. With her sleek bob haircut, vintage fashion sense, strikingly beautiful looks and artfully customized ukulele, Janet Klein might seem at first to be a simple novelty act. Possibly a 21st-century hipster "ironically" recreating the subtly naughty looks of a fin-de-siecle French postcard. Once Janet opens her mouth to sing...there's no Betty Boop hiccups or Mae West-style brassiness in her charmingly original voice. And when she starts to play her ukulele, it's clear that this oft-ridiculed cousin of the guitar is neither prop nor gimmick, but a delightful and under-utilized musical instrument.

SINGER/SONGWRITER – This week, we are proud to present KAY WILDER. If you really like Country music, you must have heard Kay Wilder on your local country radio stations. For those who have never heard of her, Kay Wilder is a country artist best known for her albums "Blue Ridge Dream" and the recently released "Caffeine and Country Music."
Songs like "Dime Box TX" and "Come Out and Dance" from each of these albums have reached the top five on the U.S. country music charts, surpassing artists such as Toby Keith, Brooks & Dunn and Reba McEntire.
Each of Wilder's albums displays the words "Warning: This CD contains Real Country Music." Wilder's albums have a more rustic and traditional sound that has not been heard in years. Her inspiration stemmed from the early music of Willy Nelson, Jimmy Buffet and Dwight Yoakam.
While everyone has their own musical preferences, anyone can appreciate the initiative Wilder clearly possesses.
